UMPG is responsible for servicing and administering Prince’s expansive catalogue of songs. This was announced on 2. November 2016.
Sir Lucian Grainge, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group congratulated Jody Gerson and her team that made this landmark deal and said: „We are looking forward to continuing Prince’s legacy and ensuring that generations to come will know his unique brilliance.“
On Nov. 22, a new greatest hits compilation entitled Prince 4Ever was released by NPG Records/ Warner Bros. The album brings together 40 of Prince’s best-loved songs.
Some of the greatest songs ever written by Prince are now streaming worldwide on services such as Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, Amazon Prime, and Google Play, among others.
