The famous Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli released these days a new studio album “Cinema”. “La Chanson de Lara” from the film “Doctor Zhivago”, “No Llores Por Mi Argentina” from the film “Evita”, “Nelle tue mani (Now We Are Free)” from the epic “Gladiator”, are only a few of the 16 tracks which are included on this album with gems of the film scores.
Producers are David Foster, winner of 16 Grammy Awards, another Grammy-award winner Humberto Gatica and Tony Renis, an Italian singer, composer, songwriter and actor.
Often called the “fourth tenor”, Bocelli has established itself as a big star in both classical and pop music. In an impressive career, this musician has sold more than 80 million albums, performed for US presidents, two popes, at the Olympics, World Cup,… His musical journey is fascinating: he worked as a lawyer in order to pay singing lessons with the renowned tenor Franco Corelli. The year 1992 was crucial for Bocelli. He won the audition and made the duet with Pavarotti, with whom he became a close friend. In the following years Bocelli achieves one success after another, and a great contribution to this is this record of film scores – “Cinema”.
